What our graduates say
„"In the first half of SODA, I got the feeling that this would not be frontal teaching, but
rather a discussion-based approach in which we would share experiences, relive
them in different ways, and share them in some form—and, importantly, we would
create something together from this diverse set of experiences. Although this method
of learning was not completely unfamiliar to me, it still felt revolutionary, and I was
very grateful for it."
(Zsófi)
„I made a conscious decision to choose SODA because I wished to complete a
training program that would allow me to feel comfortable in the role of a somatic
movement educator. Although this process is ongoing [...] I've been given a fantastic
package, toolkit, and mentors that I know I can fall back on, and that mostly fills me
with confidence.”
(Janka)
„By looking at and experiencing movement in different ways through different
Somatic schools, I can relate to a moving body more objectively, from a more global
perspective, and perhaps in a more multifaceted way."
(Ági)
"We should be able to do every imaginable movement and then select those which seem to be the most suitable and desirable for our own nature."
(Rudolf Laban)
"Movement is one of man’s language and as such it must be constantly mastered."
(Rudolf Laban)
"Breath is the bridge which connects life to consciousness, which unites your body to your thoughts’."
(Thich Nhat Hanh)
"The whole is more than the sum of its parts."
(Arisztotelész)
“You can’ make a leaf grow by stretching it.”
(Kirsty Alexander)
“I experience therefore I dance.”
(Kirsty Alexander)
“Dynamic space, with its terrific dance of tensions and discharges is the fertile ground in which movement flourishes. Movement is the life of space.”
(Rudolf Laban)
